This is the daily journal of our trip to Fehmarn, Germany
as recorded by Judy Kostick Cummings,
sister of John S. Kostick.

I would like to thank the following people on Fehmarn and in the States for making our trip a spectacular success.

Dorothee Gossel for her constant help while we were on the island;
Karl-Wilhelm Klahn and his nephew, Dieter Klahn for their gracious help at the Burg City Archives;
Karin Kleingarn, for her tour of Landkirchen’s St. Petri Church;
Max-Otto Rauert, for his research and report he shared with us on our own family history;
Pastor Jaeger, for his informative and enjoyable tour to the Petersdorf’s St. Johannis Church;
Melitta Muhl-Ehler at the archive in Neustadt for her assistance, along with several of her regular researchers who were so kind to help us on the two days that we did research;
Silke and Werner Löser, who graciously invited us to their home in Niendorf to discuss Fehmarn genealogy;
Peter & Maggie Seyer, who visited us on the island to discuss their family genealogy and share their information with us;
& Alan and Tressie Hughes for their support and help with this website and their continuous contributions to the database whenever they find information.
