Emmy J. (Broschatt) Anderson

Emmy J. Anderson, 75, of Rod and Gun Club Road, Unadilla, New York, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, October 31, 2001, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.

She was born April 9, 1926, in Fehmarn, Germany, the daughter of the late Otto and Emma Wiechelmehn Broschatt.

On January 25, 1948, she married Augustus Anderson in Garrison. He predeceased her on April 13, 1990. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Lorraine Anderson of Wallingford, Conn., and Gary and Robin Anderson of Sidney; daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Richard Hennessey of Ballston Spa; sister, Hilda Pang of Pearl City, Hawaii; brother, Otto Borscht of Fehmarn, Germany; six grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, David, Mary, Christine Anderson and Morgan Hennessey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, from the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney, with the Rev. David Masland, pastor of the Sidney United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at the Schrub Oak Cemetery, Schrub Oak, with the Rev. Jacob S. Dharmaraj, pastor of the Schrub Oak United Methodist Church.
